The Grow Your Own Show

If you’re looking for gardening inspiration this May Day bank holiday, come along and see us at the Grow Your Own show in Guildford on 1st and 2nd May.

Further information

The first Grow Your Own show is taking place at Losely Park, Guildford so we will be there with our Seed Pantry friends, showing you how to grow, cook and enjoy your home-grown produce with Cono Sur wines. We’ll be encouraging budding horticulturalists to share photos of their home-grown produce to win wine as well as offering you the chance to win a bicycle, the greenest method of transport, favoured by workers on the Cono Sur estate.

It promises to be a fun-filled show with cookery demonstrations and a working allotment area – as the show organisers say, it’s going to be enjoyable, sustainable and tasty too!

For tickets, directions and further show information, visit the Grow Your Own show website.

Gardeners' World Live

This June, we are excited to be sponsoring the brand new ‘Edible Patches’ area at the BBC Gardeners’ World Live show at the Birmingham NEC.

Running in conjunction with the BBC Good Food Show Summer from 15th –19th June 2011, BBC Gardeners’ World is a must for gardening fans and budding Green cooks with a vast array of exhibitors and celebrity experts – including Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh and Carol Klein – all on hand to teach you the wonderful ways of the garden!

Further information

‘Edible Patches’ is a new feature for the show, sponsored by Cono Sur and The National Society of Allotments and Leisure Gardeners.  It will consist of six, small, urban, vegetable plots produced by gardeners tasked to create the most productive ‘edible plots’. These will show how it is possible to produce delicious seasonal vegetables and herbs and produce fresh healthy food every year, and we’ll be serving our wines and sharing recipe ideas for using your seasonal produce. The National Society of Allotment & Leisure Gardeners will be hosting a drop in allotment advice clinic.
